Dear Parents and Carers
What a fun week we’ve had!
Our adult led focus was ordering different size triangles, using mathematical language to describe the position and making a Mr Rush on a lollipop stick. Lots of sticking, drawing and talking!
We were lucky with the weather on Monday and took PE outside, we played the very popular duck duck goose game, listening to the different instruction to move to different areas of the field. Plus, lots of running!
In our music session the children chose a singing card and something out of the surprise box.
At Forest School this week we looked for triangular brick in the spider’s web, climbing in and out of the web very carefully so not to wake the spider. There was lots of sharing using the trolley to collect different size pine cones and using the maps and pirate’s ship. On Thursday we stayed on site visiting little Forest School where we played fruit salad game, made potions/perfumes and soup, all had a go at leaf bashing and played the sticky weed game. A message from Selina ‘The children had great fun at Forest School carefully climbing into the spider’s web to collect different shapes, lots of interest in the maps and pirate’s ship and making soup. Please ensure the children have long sleeves tops and wellingtons, the stinging nettles are very vicious at the moment. Thank you’
On Friday we had a technology day, playing with the new bee-bots, programmable floor robots. Learning about programming, control and using directional language. We have new rules for them and the children were very good at telling the rules to each other. We used the sand timer to share the very popular silver bee-bot.
